iKon RC - Buggy Remote Control Car
iKon RC has used Apple supplied microchip technology to create an ‘iKon RC dongle’ which attaches to the port of the iPhone/iPad/iTouch or iPod. The dongle then allows a free app to be downloaded to turn your iPhone/iPad/iTouch or iPod into a fully functional Infra-Red handset controller.
The App will have 2 modes:
1) One-handed simple controller with direction and throttle of The Buggy controlled in single circular controller on the Apple Device. In this mode it will be held in 'portrait' position in one hand to operate.
2) Using the iPhone's in-built accelerometer the iPhone and dongle are held in 2 hands in 'landscape' position with speed of The Buggy controlled via the screen, but direction by tilting of the Apple device and Dongle.
Specifications
- Aluminum die cast base of car. Top section is silver electroplated to match aluminum exactly.
- Carbon Polycarbonate upper most section to have same finish as iPhone 4.
- 4 x Individual suspension
- 4 x Treaded tyres & Alloy electroplated wheels/Rims.
- IR receiver is on top of car, and this receiver can detect the IR beam from the Apple product with Dongle and App.
- Three channels, so any Buggy can be controlled on Infra Red A, B or C channels.
- Top speed of car is 18 kilometers per hour.
- 8 level of speed (5 forward and 3 reverse) proportional speed
- The Buggy contains a Li-polymer 800ma battery, 15c discharge.
- Aluminum section of car has a Official Apple female connector for charging, able to work with any standard power adapter that come with iPhone, iPod touch or iPad
